KNEC Releases 2025 KPSEA, KJSEA, and KCSE Invigilators and Supervisors List

The Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) has officially released the number of teachers who will serve as invigilators, supervisors, and centre managers for the 2025 national exams and assessments.

KCSE 2025 Deployment

According to KNEC, this year’s KCSE exams, which begin on 21st October 2025, will be manned by:

  • 10,765 centre managers
  • 12,126 supervisors
  • 54,782 invigilators

In addition, 22,247 security officers and 2,692 drivers will support exam logistics, including safe transportation of exam materials to and from centres.

KPSEA and KJSEA Deployment

For the 2025 KPSEA and KJSEA exams, KNEC listed:

  • 24,213 centre managers
  • 26,479 supervisors
  • 125,492 invigilators

Each exam centre will have one supervisor assisted by invigilators, except for centres with more than 200 candidates, where additional supervisors will be deployed.

Strict Deployment Guidelines

KNEC has introduced new rules this year to curb exam cheating:

  • Only primary school teachers will serve as KCSE invigilators.
  • Only secondary school teachers will work as KCSE supervisors.
  • Supervisors will be rotated weekly to reduce exam malpractice.
  • Junior school teachers will oversee the KJSEA, supported by primary teachers as both supervisors and invigilators.
  • Primary teachers will supervise the Grade 6 KPSEA exclusively.

Teacher Deployment Rules

KNEC directed TSC Sub County Directors to deploy only teachers who:

  • Are registered and employed by TSC.
  • Have not served in the same school for the last three years.

Meanwhile, teachers who trained as KJSEA examiners will also take part in marking and scoring the 2025 KJSEA in December.

CP2 Portal Activation

KNEC has activated the CP2 portal (since 26th September) for teacher deployment. All teachers are required to:

  1. Create CP2 accounts
  2. Log in
  3. Download their deployment letters, which outline their specific duties and responsibilities.
