TEACHERS SERVICE COMMISSION

VACANCIES FOR PRINCIPALS, DEPUTY PRINCIPALS, HEADTEACHERS AND DEPUTY HEADTEACHERS

The Teachers Service Commission is a Constitutional Commission established under Article 237 (1) of the Constitution.

Pursuant to its mandate, the Commission invites applications from suitably qualified teachers for the following posts in line with the Career Progression Guidelines.

Interested candidates, who meet the required qualifications, should submit their applications online through the TSC portal – www.teachersonline.go.ke to be received latest 18th November, 2024 at Midnight.

Manual applications shall not be considered.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –

have served as Deputy Principal II/Senior Master I, T-Scale 12 for a minimum period of six (6) Months;

have obtained a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process;

have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers; and

meet any other requirement deemed necessary by the Commission.

ADVERT NO. 02/2024 (C5-D1): DEPUTY PRINCIPAL III (POST PRIMARY) T-SCALE 11 – 816 POSTS

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –

  • have served as Senior Master III T-Scale 10 for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • have obtained a satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process; 
  • have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers; 
  • meet any other requirement deemed necessary by the Commission.

ADVERT NO. 03/2024 (C4- C5): HEAD TEACHER (PRIMARY), T-SCALE 10 – 1208 POSTS

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –

  • have served as Deputy Head Teacher II TSC Scale 9 for a minimum period of three (3) years; 
  • have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal process; 
  • have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers; and
  • meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.

ADVERT NO. 04/2024 (C3-C4): DEPUTY HEAD TEACHER II (PRIMARY) T-SCALE 9 – 2,911 POSTS

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

For appointment to this grade, a teacher must: –

  • have served as Senior Teacher I T- Scale 8 for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • have satisfactory rating in the performance appraisal; 
  • have demonstrated ability to supervise, mentor and provide professional support to other teachers; and 
  • meet any other requirement the Commission may deem necessary.
