KUCCPS announces KMTC KCSE D+, C-course application deadline; How to Apply.

Additional admission spots for 29 courses at the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) have been made available by the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS).

On Sunday, November 3, KUCCPS—which oversees the placement of students in higher education institutions throughout Kenya—announced the opportunity and urged interested students to apply online by November 10 at the latest.

Students get the opportunity to reserve spaces in highly sought-after healthcare programs at numerous schools across the country during this one-week period.

There are eight certificate programs and twenty-one diploma programs offered by KMTC. Each program has different prerequisites for admission; applicants must fulfill certain grade requirements according to the course they want to take.

These include certificate programs in public health, medical emergency technician, medical engineering, orthopaedic trauma medicine, community health assistant, health records and information technology, and more. A minimum mean grade of C- is required for all of these certificates.

Furthermore, applicants for a Nutrition and Dietetics certificate must have received at least a D+. There is also a diploma option for the same field, which requires a mean grade of C-.

A mean grade of C plain is often required for diploma courses, and some programs are only available at particular KMTC campuses.

For instance, only the Mosoriot Campus offers the Community Health diploma, and only the Nyahururu Campus offers the Health Promotion diploma.

Mortuary science, radiography, and imaging are limited to the Mombasa campus, orthopaedic technology to Port Reitz, and registered nursing to the Mathare campus in Kenya.

In the meantime, 15 more diploma programs are offered in county campuses around the country, enabling students from different areas to take advantage of these learning possibilities without having to move.

How to Use It

It is recommended that candidates interested in enrolling in these KMTC programs apply by November 10, 2024, using the KUCCPS student portal.

The official notification states that candidates must go to students.kuccps.net, the KUCCPS student portal, log in, and fill out the application. Prospective students can apply from anywhere throughout the application session thanks to this simplified digital method.
