Job Overview: Physics Teacher (IGCSE & A-Level)
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Physics Teacher to teach across Years 7 to 13, including IGCSE and A-Level classes. The successful candidate will bring both academic depth and creative instructional strategies to the classroom.
This position is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about inspiring young minds and promoting scientific inquiry, analytical thinking, and real-world problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
As a Physics Teacher at Greensteds International School, your duties will include but are not limited to:
- Teaching Physics from Year 7 to Year 13, including preparation and delivery of IGCSE and A-Level curriculum.
- Creating and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of students.
- Developing and implementing effective assessment strategies that provide timely and constructive feedback.
- Maintaining accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
- Contributing to departmental planning, curriculum development, and instructional improvement.
- Participating actively in co-curricular activities, school clubs, and student enrichment programs.
- Attending staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other official school events.
- Promoting a positive, disciplined, and respectful classroom atmosphere.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or B.Ed. in Physics or a closely related field.
- A recognized teaching qualification (PGDE or equivalent) is essential.
- Valid registration with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience in a British Curriculum setting, preferably with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
- Familiarity with Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level assessment standards.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Competence in using educational technology tools and platforms.
