General Duties and Responsibilities (All Positions)

Selected candidates will:

  • Lecture in their areas of specialization as per approved curriculum.
  • Prepare teaching/learning materials and student progress reports.
  • Set, invigilate, and mark examinations and coursework.
  • Coordinate academic projects, assignments, and practicals.
  • Carry out academic research and publish scholarly articles.
  • Supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students.
  • Develop and review academic programs and curricula.
  • Write research proposals to attract funding.
  • Present academic papers in seminars, workshops, and conferences.
  • Engage in community service and consultancy as per departmental needs.

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Senior Lecturer/Senior Research Fellow (Anatomy)

  • A PhD in Anatomy or equivalent from an accredited university.
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a Lecturer/Research Fellow OR six (6) years of industry/research experience.
  • Minimum 32 publication points, of which 24 must be from refereed journals.
  • Supervision of at least three postgraduate students to completion.
  • Registration with a relevant professional body (where applicable).
  • Demonstrated academic leadership, research ability, and excellent teaching performance.

2–9. Lecturer/Research Fellow Positions (Various Specializations)

  • Medical Psychology & Counselling

Requirements:

  • A PhD in the relevant area OR a Master’s degree (in special cases) from a recognized/accredited institution.
  • At least 24 publication points, of which 16 must be from refereed scholarly journals.
  • Registered or registrable with relevant professional body (where applicable).
  • Demonstrated capacity for teaching, academic research, and scholarly output.
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development and research productivity.
