How the KUCCPS 2025 Inter-Institutional Transfer Works
How the KUCCPS 2025 Inter-Institutional Transfer Works, The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has made it possible for students to realign their career paths through the 2025 Inter-Institutional Transfer (IIT) process. This option is available to students who wish to change their university, college, or course after the official placement.
Below is a step-by-step guide on how the transfer process works via the KUCCPS Student’s Portal:
1. Student Application
The student logs in to the KUCCPS Student’s Portal and initiates a transfer request to their preferred institution. You must clearly indicate the course and institution you wish to transfer to.
2. Receiving Institution Endorsement
The institution you are applying to will review your request. If you meet the cut-off requirements, the institution will endorse the application via its portal.
3. Releasing Institution Confirmation
Once the receiving institution accepts the request, KUCCPS notifies your current institution. The releasing institution must then formally release you through their system.
4. KUCCPS Approval
After both institutions have processed your request, KUCCPS will review and approve the application. If everything is in order, the system will automatically generate an official Transfer Letter.
5. Download Transfer Letter & Report
Log in to your student portal to download the approved transfer letter. Present this letter to your new institution to receive your admission letter and joining instructions.
Important Notes
- You must meet the required cut-off points for your desired course at the institution you’re applying to.
- A transfer will only succeed if the receiving institution endorses your application.
- KUCCPS will provide a detailed application guide on the portal once the window opens.
Why the Transfer Window Matters
At KUCCPS, placement isn’t the end—it’s the beginning. The transfer process helps students rethink, realign, and pursue programs that match their skills, passion, and long-term goals.
If you’re reconsidering your academic direction, this transfer window gives you a second chance to take control of your future.
