Key Purpose
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving volume and revenue growth across all channels. The role includes expanding the customer base, managing sales accounts, and leading a sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- Optimize allocation and use of resources within the area.
- Set, track, and manage sales targets on a daily basis.
- Provide coaching and leadership to the Account Development Team.
- Ensure excellence in trade and outlet execution.
- Identify and develop new outlets.
- Drive sales and increase market share within the designated territory.
- Collaborate with Account Developers and customers to create and implement business plans.
- Monitor and respond to competitive activity in the market.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and handle trade replacements effectively.
- Execute promotional plans according to account strategies and ensure full compliance.
- Report any promotional discrepancies to store owners or managers.
- Oversee execution of the “Picture of Success” per outlet by the Account Developers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of previous sales experience in FMCG or a related sector.
- Minimum of 1 year in a team management or supervisory role.
